How does the OctopusTravel.com Affiliate Program work?
After confirming your application, we will provide you with special links to OctopusTravel.com to place on your Web site. When a customer follows those links and makes a booking, we note that your site referred the customer and record the sale. Each month, we send you a cheque representing commissions for all the bookings you referred to us.
How do I become an affiliate?
Please complete our Affiliate Application. You will need to provide some basic information about your Web site. Once we approve the application we will provide further information on getting started via e-mail.
How long does it take normally for my affiliate application to be approved?
Normally, it takes 2 business days to process your application. Once we approve the application we will provide further information on getting started either via e-mail or by phone.
Can a Web site based outside of Australia and New Zealand be an OctopusTravel.com Affiliate?
Yes, but we only pay commissions to affiliates in Australian or New Zealand Dollars.
Can you make OctopusTravel.com's booking engine look like my site?
We have certain criteria we use to determine if a partner's Web site can be co-branded. If your site meets these criteria then co-branded options are available. An example of some partners with co-branded sites are available here and here.
Who processes bookings and handles customer service?
OctopusTravel.com provides these services for all customers who book through our site.

How are orders tracked and credited to my site?
The link that you place on your site directing customers to OctopusTravel.com will be embedded with a unique code. Each and every booking made by customers referred to OctopusTravel.com from your site will be tagged with that code. Each month, our reporting system will search for bookings tagged with your unique code, providing us with the number of bookings and commissions owed to you.
How much will I be paid?
We currently pay 5% of the total value of every booking including taxes.
Is there a minimum as to how much commission I get paid monthly? or Will I receive a commission cheque every month?
Payment occurs on a monthly basis, provided you have earned a minimum commission of $100. If you have not reached this minimum we will rollover your commission until you have. If at the end of the quarter you have still not reached the required minimum, we will pay you the commission earned for that quarter. Commissions are payable once the customer has completed a stay (as per the booking).
I operate more than one web site. Can you track them separately, but pay me with one commission cheque?
Yes.
How can I earn more?
The better the positioning our links and banners receive on your web site home page, the more revenue you are likely to earn.

How do I put links to OctopusTravel.com on my web site?
You will be given a choice of several designs, logos, banners and text links after we have approved your application. You will also receive a user name, password, and access to source code for banners and links, along with instructions on how to insert them into your Web site.
How do I change the links on my web site?
Choose the banner or logo that you require from our frequently updated selections and e-mail us with a banner request.
How often should I update links?
We advise you check our Affiliate page once a month for new links. We will have promotions from time to time that will have specific links to help give your site a dynamic edge and generate customer interest.
